Why can’t Sunshine® Polishing Cloths be washed?

Sunshine Polishing Cloths are specially treated with gentle polishing compounds that remove tarnish and restore shine. Washing the cloth would remove these treatments, leaving you with just a plain piece of fabric that won’t polish anymore.

The dark marks that appear on the cloth as you use it are simply the tarnish being lifted from your jewelry—that means it’s working! Even when the cloth looks dirty, it will continue to polish effectively until the special treatment is used up. At that point, it’s time to replace the cloth with a new one.
